How to Join


Step 1: Set up service.
Call Midwest Fiber Recycling at 309.452.0064 to start your composting service. You will be provided with the following:

  • 65-gallon compost container and liners
  • Regularly scheduled compost pick up

 

Step 2: Train your team.
We recommend you identify a go-to person on each shift who can answer questions and provide new staff orientation. Midwest Fiber Recycling will supply you with the tools and tips you need to train your staff, including:

  • Bilingual composting instructions and posters
  • A list of acceptable and non-acceptable compost materials

 

Step 3: Accept positive recognition from the community.
Once your Community Composting Program gets underway, prepare for positive feedback from the community. Midwest Fiber Recycling will help with the following:

  • Window cling identifying your organization as a partner in the Community Composting Program
  • Recognition as a Community Composting Program participant on the Midwest Fiber Recycling Website
  • Publicity as a participant in all media relations
  • Positive recognition from the community
